Role: Executive Director of Semantic and Knowledge Engineering leading enterprise semantic layer and knowledge platform development for Novartis' NovaOS.

Responsibilities:

• define and execute semantic technology strategy
• lead ontology and taxonomy governance
• design semantic layer for AI and analytics
• partner cross-functionally with Applied AI, Data Science, and Engineering teams
• establish governance standards
• drive innovation in knowledge graphs and semantic search
• Manage and develop a team of semantic engineers and ontology specialists

Requirements:

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in CS, AI, Data Science, or related field
• 10+ years of experience in semantic technologies, enterprise architecture, or AI platforms
• deep expertise in ontologies, RDF/OWL, knowledge graphs, and enterprise info architecture
• strong leadership and stakeholder management skills

• experience applying semantic tech in generative AI and highly regulated industries such as pharma or healthcare
