John Hopkins Health System is seeking a highly skilled Executive Director of Revenue Cycle Analytics & Innovation. This leader provides strategic leadership for revenue cycle operations across the organization, partnering closely with hospital CFOs, finance teams, and operational leaders to optimize financial performance. This collaborative and influential leader leverages analytics, business intelligence, and operational expertise to drive results, support revenue cycle leaders, evaluate vendor partnerships, and lead high-performing teams through change and growth.

  • Responsible for patient satisfaction, operational and financial performance improvement of revenue cycle areas, including driving ongoing strategy for successful RCM analytics to support overall business objectives.
  • Develops strong relationships through excellent communication with internal and external customers gain a deep understanding of revenue cycle needs and creating performance improvement work plans, innovative solutions and automation for Revenue Cycle operations.
  • Develop and ensure the successful aggregation, analysis and publication of RCM performance and financial data to support strategic business objectives. Provides executive oversight for the development and analysis of financial, operational, and statistical reporting used to support enterprise revenue cycle strategy, executive decision-making, organizational performance management, and long-range financial planning. Leads departmental budget development and monitoring processes, establishes key performance metrics, and directs complex ad hoc analyses and strategic initiatives in support of organizational priorities.
  • Lead the analysis, design, implementation, and communication of system RCM improvement initiatives, using project management processes. Accountable for executive-level oversight of revenue cycle analytics and financial operations including report development, advanced data analysis and manipulation, budget modeling and file development, patient accounts receivable reserving methodologies, and other critical financial management functions to ensure data integrity, regulatory compliance, operational transparency, and informed strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Identifies control objectives for the designated function and implements cost-effective controls designed to meet those objectives.

  • Makes independent decisions related to products, services, implementing new programs, and supporting technical/operational processes of a network or business unit.

  • Addresses problems that are highly varied, complex, and often non-recurring, requiring higher-management input and often determining new processes or procedures.

  • Applies advanced understanding of discipline/specialization, prior supervisory experience, and advanced interpersonal and communication skills in back-end revenue cycle management.

  • Develops and is accountable for the budget of a work department, office, or unit.

  • Leads business process improvement for the designated area.

  • Performs cost–benefit analyses for the designated area.

  • Advanced proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

This is a fully remote position. You must reside in an approved or registered Johns Hopkins state in order to qualify.

Salary Range:

Minimum 214,102.00/annually - Maximum 252,081.00/annually. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
