Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field.
• Master’s degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration or related field; must complete within 18 months.
• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in hospital, health system, or healthcare consulting environments.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements a PMR service line organization plan to ensure value in health care as defined by quality outcomes and cost.
• Demonstrates understanding and competence in Evidence-Based Leadership including leader rounding, AIDET and high-middle-low conversations.
• Develops, interprets and administers PMR service line policies, procedures, protocols and instructions.
• Plans and administers the effective management and delivery of PMR services in compliance with hospital and regulatory standards.
• Promotes a positive engaging work environment for Directors and Managers, students, and patients; mentors staff.
• Ensures Directors and Managers have processes, systems, tools, and equipment needed to perform their roles.
• Develops capital and operating budgets to meet service line goals and monitors adherence and variances.
• Seeks to improve quality of services with QAPI initiatives and competencies.
• Models a culture of customer service excellence as evidenced by patient and employee satisfaction.
• Selects, develops, trains, disciplines, and evaluates staff on performance and competency.
• Oversees new PMR program development and marketing to meet patient and community needs.
• Keeps knowledge of current standards and emerging practices in rehabilitation.
