Qualifications

• Associate degree in electronics or biomedical engineering or equivalent training/experience.
• Ten years in a health care system with at least five years in an administrative capacity supervising technical staff.
• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in biomedical/electrical engineering or engineering technology; professional certifications (CCE/CHTM).
• Two years’ networking/troubleshooting experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers the delivery of clinical engineering maintenance services per standards.
• Ensures quality, financial and customer service objectives are met.
• Makes staff hiring, development and evaluation decisions in coordination with HR.
• Develops and administers capital and operating budgets and monitors variances.
• Oversees the Medical Equipment Management Program implementation.
• Educates hospital staff on safe use and operation of medical equipment.
