Greater Grays Harbor, Inc. (GGHI) seeks an Executive Director to lead an organization serving as both the Economic Development Council and Chamber of Commerce for Grays Harbor County. The ED reports to the Board, guiding strategy, operations, staff, contracts, and grants while advocating for investment and growth regionally.

The role requires 5+ years in senior leadership within economic development or nonprofit management, with strong financial and strategic acumen to advance regional vitality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of senior leadership experience in economic development, chamber leadership, nonprofit management, or related field.
• Proven success in strategic leadership, innovation, and organizational growth.
• Staff supervision, performance management, and development experience.
• Experience developing new initiatives or partnerships driving measurable economic impact.
• Strong financial management skills including budgeting, forecasting, and grant oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of innovative, forward-looking economic development strategies focused on retention, expansion, recruitment, workforce development, and investment attraction.
• Identify opportunities for regional growth, industry diversification, and entrepreneurship development.
• Serve as public leader and spokesperson; build relationships with business leaders, officials, and partners.
• Oversee operations, staff, programs, contracts, and grant-funded initiatives; supervise all staff.
• Develop and manage budgets; identify new revenue streams and partnerships.
• Drive projects to keep the region competitive with modern economic development approaches.
• Represent GGHI at regional, state, and national forums to advocate bold development strategies.
• Direct marketing, branding, and communications to elevate the region’s visibility.
