Job summary

Kentucky Authority for Educational Television (KET) seeks an Executive Director to provide strategic and operational leadership for the statewide public media network. You will advance educational missions, oversee programs, and guide governance with a focus on sustainability and community engagement.

Experience leading large organizations, influencing public policy, and managing complex operations is essential to drive KET’s continued growth across multiple states and markets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and ten+ years of progressively responsible senior management experience.
• Executive leadership in organizational administration, strategic planning, operations, or related functions.
• Ability to lead, develop, and retain a highly qualified workforce.
• Exceptional interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Judgment, diplomacy, discretion, integrity, impartiality, and objectivity for public leadership.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership to expand relevance, reach, and impact of KET’s programs and services.
• Cultivate relationships with public officials, donors, community partners, viewers, educators, and stakeholders.
• Ensure efficient use of personnel and financial resources in support of KET’s mission.
• Oversee compliance with laws, FCC requirements, and organizational policies.
• Lead marketing and communications and represent KET before the public and officials.
