Job summary

UCSF Health seeks an Administrative Director to provide strategic leadership and operational accountability for the Contact Center, Referral and Access Centers, and Call Center across Ambulatory Services. You will drive patient access strategy, lead a team of Administrative Managers and Supervisors, and partner with leadership to deliver exceptional patient experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related area or equivalent experience.
• Seven+ years of supervisory experience in Ambulatory Care/Access Center setting.
• Knowledge of scheduling, customer service, regulatory compliance, accreditation requirements, and IT in ambulatory care.
• Experience managing budgets, staffing, and financial performance.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels of staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and executive oversight for Contact Center, Referral, Access, and Call Center operations.
• Lead and develop Administrative Managers and Supervisors with regular coaching and evaluations.
• Monitor daily operations and resolve escalated issues across channels.
• Oversee performance scorecards, quality improvement, and compliance initiatives.
• Manage department budgets and staffing models to meet financial targets.
• Represent department in executive committees and strategic planning forums.
• Lead major projects including technology implementations and onboarding programs.
• Collaborate with managers to expand Center services to new ambulatory practices.
