Job description

Build the partner benefits that customers use every day—and that partners trust at scale. You’ll shape strategy, lead a high-impact team, and deliver launches with strong governance and controls.

As the Executive Director, Partner Benefits Product within the Card Partner Benefits team, you will own the vision, roadmap, and operating model for a portfolio of merchant and partner benefits. You will lead a team of 10 across vertical portfolios and platform capabilities and guide complex partner relationships end-to-end, balancing iterative delivery with marquee launches. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless, compliant customer and partner experience across channels.

Job responsibilities

  • Own the vision, strategy, and roadmap across priority verticals — media and streaming, delivery, mobility, hospitality, airlines, airport lounges, insurance, retail and experiences — and decide where to invest against constant, competing partner demand
  • Lead, coach, and cultivate the product managers on the team — inspiring and upleveling them, unlocking the conditions for them to do their best work, and growing the next group of leaders at the firm
  • Drive vertical execution while developing platforms for shared capabilities — enrollment and lifecycle, partner integrations, notifications, data foundations — to increase reuse and speed-to-market across portfolios and Lines of Business
  • Establish an operating cadence the team owns, with controls embedded in the platform so governance and audit-ready evidence are produced by the operating model rather than assembled after the fact
  • Own the partner lifecycle end-to-end: discovery and assessment, contract terms and launch timelines, onboarding, benefit configuration, partner experience and content management, and ongoing relationship governance
  • Steward a live partner portfolio, driving prioritization, issue resolution, and outcomes across a book of concurrent relationships
  • Ensure benefits are enabled consistently across web, mobile app, and servicing channels, with robust customer enrollment
  • Embed AI and automation into how the team works — championing new tools and ways of working to automate repetitive processes, surface anomalies, and identify risk and opportunity earlier
  • Build trusted partnerships across Technology, Risk, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and Corporate Development, bringing those teams along early so outcomes land consistently across verticals and portfolios
  • Act as the senior decision owner for platform-level tradeoffs and prioritization in ambiguous situations, and communicate posture, risk, and progress to senior leadership
  • Set the direction for where partner platform capabilities go next — expanding partnerships across Lines of Business within CCB and positioning the platform for growth as strategic needs evolve

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • 10+ years delivering products or technology capabilities across the full product lifecycle, from discovery through ongoing optimization
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience building, scaling, and developing high-performing product teams
  • Strong external-facing leadership, with experience owning merchant or partner relationships from onboarding through delivery and ongoing lifecycle management
  • Executive presence, with the ability to present to and negotiate directly with senior stakeholders and external partners
  • Track record modernizing shared platform capabilities to improve speed-to-market, reuse, and operational quality
  • Proven ability to influence and build alignment across multiple stakeholder groups without relying on direct authority
  • Experience driving organizational change and operating effectively in ambiguity

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Experience operating a scaled partner ecosystem with measurable value delivery and strong governance across multiple concurrent partner relationships
