Job summary

Amedisys in the United States is seeking an executive director of operations for full-time day shift. You will lead care center operations, ensure regulatory compliance, educate staff on state and accreditation rules, and oversee budget and performance across the center.

Responsibilities include directing weekly leadership meetings, guiding marketing input for growth, staffing allocation, coaching staff, monitoring performance, and driving financial and clinical results within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or clinical-related field.
• Three years of experience in leadership/management in health care, home health or hospice.
• Five years of leadership/management experience in health care, home health or hospice in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Ensures care center is compliant with all regulations, laws, policies, and procedures.
• Educates all staff members about state, federal and accreditation requirements (as applicable).
• Ensures that all services are billed as provided to the proper payor source.
• Directs weekly business development and management team meetings with all appropriate staff and other members of the medical community to promote home care services.
• Provides input, guidance and feedback related to marketing activities and agency marketing plans to ensure that goals for growth are met.
• Assigns and directs staff with appropriate skills to perform duties.
• Coaches, directs, and encourages staff through formal and informal means.
• Analyzes work processes and makes suggestions for improvement.
• Responsible for care center financial and clinical performance and delivery of key metrics within the established budget.
• Responsible for employment decisions for direct report staff, including decisions to hire, fire, advance, promote or change status.
• Monitors and evaluates employee performance.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor's degree in business or clinical-related field

Five years of leadership/management experience in health care, home health or hospice (in lieu of degree)

OR

• Five years of experience in leadership/management in health care, home health or hospice in lieu of a degree.

Preferred

• Current, unencumbered license to practice as a registered nurse or other health care professional specific to that state you are assigned to work.
• Master's degree in business or clinical-related field and licensed clinical professional.
• Experience in home health.
