Job summary

KingRecruitingServices is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) for a premier skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility in Queens, NY. The role provides overall clinical leadership and operational oversight for the Nursing Department, reporting to the Administrator.

You will drive resident-centered care, ensure compliance with state and federal standards, mentor staff, and maintain survey readiness while collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to optimize resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in New York
• Experience as Director of Nursing or senior nursing leader in long-term care
• Strong knowledge of NY DOH regulations and CMS requirements
• Proficiency with SigmaCare EMR and MS Office
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily nursing department operations
• Ensure compliance with federal, CMS, and NY DOH regulations
• Provide clinical leadership and staff mentoring
• Maintain survey readiness and participate in QA/QI
• Collaborate with Administrator and interdisciplinary team
• Manage staffing schedules and staff competencies
• Lead evidence-based nursing policies and procedures
