About the firm:
Our client is a Fortune 500 reinsurance firm that is looking to bring on an Executive Director of Hedge and Derivative Accounting. With over $3.5 trillion in life reinsurance in force and more than $100 billion in assets, the company is positioned for continued growth in the years ahead.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee hedge and derivative accounting
• Conduct effectiveness testing for both new and ongoing hedge strategies
• Configure new hedge setups within the derivatives system
• Build tools to monitor bond-related hedge performance
• Test and validate new hedge structures
• Support development of tools and workflows for derivative accounting.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in accounting or auditing, with deep knowledge of GAAP and derivatives.
• 5+ years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of cash flow structures and financial instruments.
• Investment and insurance industry knowledge.
