Job summary

The Minnesota Department of Corrections seeks an Associate Warden of Administration in St. Cloud to lead the facility's administrative division, overseeing maintenance, food service, records, and logistics to ensure safety and compliance.

You will be a member of the Warden's Executive Team, manage budgets, advise on financial decisions, serve as the PIO and ADA Coordinator, and provide leadership during the Warden's absence, collaborating with staff and partners.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience in corrections, finance, business administration, human resources, public administration, or related profession with supervisory duties.
• Experience as a supervisor, team lead, lead worker, OR project lead.
• Completion of a State leadership development program such as Emerging Leaders Institute (ELI) or Senior Leadership Institute (SLI).
• Experience leading a program or chairing a committee (ERG or similar) with demonstrated leadership and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Directs the administrative division of a high-security facility, including maintenance, food service, health and safety, IP discipline, records, mailroom, warehouse, inventory, canteen and IP property.
• Serve as fiscal advisor to the Warden, overseeing budget, spending plans, and cost-effective resource allocations.
• Serve as a core member of the Warden's Executive Team and provide leadership during the Warden's absence.
• Serve as the facility Public Information Officer (PIO) and media liaison, coordinating litigation and claims.
• Act as ADA Coordinator for incarcerated individuals.
