Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. in the United States seeks an Executive Director, Head of North America Capital Risk Coverage to drive independent oversight of capital risk across North America, setting direction for risk limits, governance and regulatory engagement.

You will guide a high-performing team and present insights to senior management and risk committees. The role requires deep capital risk expertise, strong leadership, and proven ability to translate complex topics for diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of capital risk, risk management, finance, or regulatory-related functions.
• Minimum 5 years of people management and leadership experience.
• Deep knowledge of regulatory capital frameworks and capital management concepts.
• Proven experience independently assessing capital risk and capital planning activities.
• Experience supporting or participating in supervisory or internal stress testing exercises.
• Strong ability to communicate complex capital topics to senior stakeholders and committees.
• Demonstrated experience partnering across risk, finance, treasury, and control functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead independent assessment, measurement, monitoring, and control of capital risk across North America.
• Establish, calibrate, and oversee capital risk limits and indicators; report breaches.
• Assess firmwide capital management activities including internal targets and stress outcomes.
• Provide independent capital risk coverage for the firm and designated entities.
• Conduct deep-dives on regulatory developments, balance sheet dynamics and risk changes.
• Present risk insights and emerging risks to senior management and risk committees.
• Lead governance and review of credit risk transfer activities and limit calibration.
• Participate in annual supervisory and internal stress testing and capital plan challenge.
