Job summary

VMG Health is seeking a Managing Director, Performance Excellence to establish and grow the Margin Improvement & Performance Excellence platform within the Strategy & Partnership Advisory unit. You will lead client engagements with hospitals, health systems, and physician enterprises to improve financial performance and drive sustainable growth.

You will partner with executive teams, develop strategies and roadmaps, and mentor teams while expanding VMG Health's capabilities across strategy,

Qualifications

• Eight or more years in healthcare consulting, health system operations, strategy or related leadership.
• Experience leading margin improvement or performance transformation initiatives.
• Experience with hospitals, health systems, physician enterprises, and related providers.
• Strong executive relationships and business development experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish and expand VMG Health's Margin Improvement & Performance Excellence offering across providers.
• Lead client engagements focused on operational transformation, margin improvement, revenue enhancement, and cost optimization.
• Partner with executive teams to identify growth, performance improvement, and sustainability opportunities.
• Develop strategies and roadmaps delivering measurable operational and financial outcomes.
• Serve as trusted advisor to C-suite, physician leaders, and boards on performance initiatives.
• Build and maintain client relationships, pursue new business opportunities.
• Collaborate across VMG Health service lines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Support partnerships, affiliations, and growth initiatives aligned with client objectives.
• Contribute to thought leadership and market development for performance excellence capabilities.
• Mentor team members and foster collaboration, accountability, and client service excellence.
