Qualifications

  • Leadership experience in education or nonprofit settings with a track record of achievement.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills.
  • Unwavering commitment to organizational excellence, DEI, and ethical standards.
  • Ability to translate vision into actionable plans and foster stakeholder engagement.
  • Capacity to work with a broad range of people and maintain professional presentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day management to fulfill the mission and partner with families and teachers for children's success.
  • Transition the organization from founder leadership while maximizing continued involvement of the founder.
  • Translate vision and priorities into an implementable action plan and lead staff, partners, and donors.
  • Lead, inspire, delegate, coach, and support the staff team toward outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • Support the Board of Directors and collaborate with the Chair to ensure effective governance.
  • Build relationships to support fundraising goals and represent HOME WORKS! in the community.
  • Oversee budgeting, HR, IT, outcomes management, and other operational areas.
