Job summary

The National Sheriffs' Association (NSA), in partnership with Recruiting Heroes, is seeking an Executive Director to lead the national association representing sheriffs and public safety professionals. The role focuses on guiding day-to-day operations, representing NSA in diverse settings, and driving strategic growth.

The ideal candidate has strong leadership, experience managing a small staff, and the ability to work with a board of directors, elected officials, and partner organizations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership experience guiding national or large organizations.
• Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and growth initiatives.
• Strong relationship-building with diverse stakeholders including law enforcement and public safety.

Responsibilities

• Direct the association's daily operations in alignment with the President, Executive Committee, and Board of Directors.
• Develop and execute plans for NSA's long-term growth and stability.
• Represent NSA in meetings, events, and with law enforcement leaders and government officials.
• Build and maintain relationships with sheriffs, state associations, and members nationwide.
• Support committees and coordinate cross-functional work across priorities.
