Job summary

AEP is seeking a Managing Director for Insurance & Risk Management in Columbus, OH, overseeing the risk and insurance management department, procurement, and risk financing activities. You will supervise staff, manage a $100 million budget, and coordinate with brokers, actuaries, and consultants to protect corporate assets.

The role requires 10+ years in finance or corporate risk management with supervisory responsibility; CPCU/ARM preferred, MBA/JD desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required preferably in Insurance and Risk Management, Business, Finance, Engineering or other relevant education.
• MBA or JD is desirable.
• Licenses/Certifications: CPCU or ARM preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Risk and Insurance management department and oversee liability, property, and recovery claims.
• Manage insurance procurement and risk financing, including a $100 million budget.
• Lead marketing of insurance programs and present to senior management.
• Oversee recovery, property damage and public liability claims; coordinate with legal for large liabilities.
• Direct vendor relationships with insurers, brokers, and consultants; manage captive insurance program.
