Job summary

Benchmark Senior Living in Mt Pleasant, NY is seeking an Executive Director to lead the community, manage the budget and occupancy goals, and ensure high levels of customer service. This role reports to the Regional Director of Operations and requires hands-on leadership to build a loyal team.

Responsibilities include overseeing purchases, onsite sales support, staff training, reviewing bills and occupancy, recruiting, and maintaining a culture of quality care for seniors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management or Business.
• 3-5 years of management or healthcare related experience.
• Proven experience as a manager overseeing multiple disciplines.
• Budgeting and staffing experience required.
• Proficiency with Windows applications such as Excel and Outlook; ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Authorize all purchases, provide onsite sales support, and conduct monthly family meetings.
• Train and develop new employees, implementing initiatives to improve community operations.
• Lead with ethics and empathy to enhance seniors' quality of life.
• Review bills and statements; analyze revenue projections and adjust as needed.
• Manage the Sales Director and network with Hospital and Rehab referral sources.
• Qualify prospects financially and review occupancy in relation to staffing.
• Assist in hiring and recruitment; handle resident and family grievances.

As the Executive Director at Benchmark at Mt Pleasant, you will manage the community’s budget and occupancy goals as well as maintain appropriate staffing levels and drive overall customer service. • As an Executive Director of Operations, you will authorize all purchases, provide onsite sales support, and conduct monthly family meetings
• You will participate in the training and development of new employees –implementing initiatives that will allow the community to run more effectively and efficiently
• You must be an ethical and honest individual who truly enjoys helping seniors live a better, more comfortable life
• You must be patient, understanding, and empathetic.
• Reviewing bills and statements
• Analyzing revenue projections
• Making adjustments when revenue sources decrease
• Managing the Sales Director
• Networking with outside referral sources such as Hospital and Rehab personnel
• Qualifying prospects financially through credit reports, bank statements, etc.
• Reviewing occupancy as it relates to staffing
• Assisting in the hiring and recruitment processes
• Handling all resident and family grievances

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree; Degree in Healthcare Administration, Hospitality Management, or Business preferred
• 3-5 years of management or healthcare related experience
• Having assumed a managerial role that was responsible for multiple disciplines
• Budgeting and staffing experience
• Proficiency with Windows applications such as Excel and Outlook
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
