Baptist Hospice, part of LHC Group within the Optum family, seeks an Executive Director to act as Administrator of the home health provider, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. You will lead projects, manage patient eligibility, and drive performance while mentoring staff.

The role emphasizes profitability, staff motivation, and service quality, with a strong focus on MS-specific requirements and CPR readiness.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse licensure with 1+ years supervisory or administrative experience in a home healthcare or related field
• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation
• MS state-specific requirements for MS home health administrator (see posting)
• Preferred CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• Home care experience
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Independent work capability
• Strong communication, writing, and organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and completes assigned projects to support the company’s immediate and long‑range objectives.
• Oversees the eligibility of patients referred to home care services, planning for services and supervising total home health care.
• Implements and maintains administrative practices, agency philosophy, goals, and policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Enhances the agency’s profitability and ensures retention of a qualified staff and quality of services.
