Arrow Senior Living in Ankeny, IA is seeking an Executive Director to lead a senior living community. This full-time role oversees operations, finances, and resident satisfaction, driving growth while maintaining high care standards.

Candidates should hold an IA LNHA/RCAL credential or equivalent and demonstrate strong leadership, integrity, and English fluency. The position offers a competitive salary range and benefits, with opportunities for advancement within Arrow’s multi‑state senior

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Two-year degree in human services, psychology, sociology, nursing, health care administration, public administration, or related field with 2+ years of experience; or
• Four-year degree in related field with 1+ year of experience; or
• Master’s degree in related field with 1+ year of experience; or
• Active and in good standing LNHA or RCAL license for IA.
• Knowledge of care requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
• Ability to manage financial records and supervise staff.
• Strong leadership and integrity; fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Act as visionary leader, communicating community goals, business and sales plans.
• Function as a 'Management Mechanic' ensuring operations run smoothly for residents and staff.
• Act as 'Resident Receptor' by anticipating and addressing resident satisfaction.
• Run the community like a mini‑business with entrepreneurial stewardship.

Bonus Opportunity - Paid out monthly
Shift Schedule-

Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm

with Manager on Duty Rotation 10:00am to 2:00pm

We are looking for someone ( like you) :

• To be a Visionary. Communicate with the team where the community is going and what are its goals. This includes business plans, sales plans.
• To be a “Management Mechanic:” responsible for keeping machine of community, from residents to employees, running.
• To be a “Resident Receptor” by anticipating and managing resident satisfaction needs.
• To be an “Entrepreneurial Steward.” Run your community like your own mini-business .

What are we looking for?

• You must be at least twenty-one ( 21 ) years of age , have a high school diploma or equivalent, and you shall meet at least one of the following conditions:
• You shall have a two (2) year degree in human services, psychology, sociology, nursing, health care administration, public administration, or a related field and have at least t wo ( 2 ) years of experience in the field; or
• You shall have a four (4) year degree in a related field (listed above) and have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the field; or
• You shall have a master’s degree in a related field (listed above) and have a minimum of one (1) year experience in the field; or
• You must have an active and in good standing LNHA (Licensed Nursing Home Administrator) or RCAL (Residential Care and Assisted Living Administrator) for the state of Iowa (IA).
• You will have k nowledge of the requirements for providing care and supervision appropriate to the residents.
• You will have k nowledge of and ability to conform to the applicable laws, rules and regulations.
• You will have the a bility to maintain or supervise the maintenance of financial and other records.
• You will direct the work of others and provide the necessary leadership for measurable growth and satisfaction in performing the work.
• You will be a good character and have a reputation of personal integrity.
• You can read, write, understand and communicate in English with our Residents!
• You will have a p ositive and energetic attitude who will LOVE our Residents!
• You will p ossess computer skills to be able to print documents and enter information in our systems .
• You must be comfortable standing, walking, bending, kneeling, for brief periods of time.
• You must have the a bility to frequently lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds.
• You must be comfortable sitting at a desk between six and eight hours a day as this position is primarily sedentary.
• You must be criminally cleared.
• You must have a clean driving record as per the insurance carrier’s policy
