Job summary

Walgreens in Deerfield, IL seeks a Senior Director to evolve its UX organization from a production-focused function to a strategic business capability. You will lead a multidisciplinary team spanning Product Experience Design, Research Strategy, Content Strategy, Service Design, and AI-enabled experiences, shaping decisions early with customer evidence and experience strategy.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree and at least 8 years of experience in UX service design OR 11 years with High School/GED.
At least 5 years directing and managing a UX design team.
Experience presenting to executive level management and external stakeholders.
Expertise in standard UX software such as Sketch, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer.
Experience with usability testing and A/B testing.
At least 5 years contributing to financial decisions in the workplace.
Willing to travel up to 20% of the time (within state and out of state).

Responsibilities

Defines the strategy around the customer experience and aligns it with business goals.
Leads and builds a world-class UX team with standards, guidelines, and processes.
Acts as the owner and advocate for the end user in product strategy.
Leads analysis and research to reduce user pain points in collaboration with Design Research and Analytics.
Works with business leads, strategists, and product managers to improve online customer value.
Analyzes long-term impact of strategies and ensures budgetary goals are met.
Leads cross-functional communication and maintains key internal and external relationships.
