Job summary

Stanford Doerr School of Sustainability seeks an Executive Director, Partnerships & Strategy to integrate academic and practitioner perspectives across energy research, development and deployment. Reporting to the Institute Director, the role will lead cross-disciplinary collaborations with industry, government and non-profit partners to accelerate sustainable, affordable and secure energy solutions.

Excellent written and verbal communication for non-technical stakeholders.
Proven ability to identify, develop, and manage strategic partnerships across academia, industry, and government.
Ability to translate technical concepts into policy and business implications.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute a strategic vision integrating academic and practitioner perspectives across energy research, development and deployment.
Lead and grow partnerships with industry and non-profit organizations to deliver funded programs.
Coordinate with Stanford centers and units to catalyze research and partnerships across the energy ecosystem.
Manage a team of professionals including grantmakers, program managers, and technical experts to ensure program success.
