Job summary

Siemens is seeking a Director of R&D for Electronics and Software based in Peachtree Corners, GA. Lead development of electronics, embedded software, systems, and testing for circuit protection and electrical distribution products.

You will partner with Product Management, manage budgets and staffing, ensure compliance with UL/ NEC/IEEE/ANSI/NEMA standards, and oversee the local electronics lab while coordinating with Tucker facilities. Onsite leadership role with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field.
• 10+ years in electrical power products including residential power control systems.
• 5+ years leading large multidisciplinary teams and solving cross-functional issues.
• Knowledge of UL, NEC, IEEE, ANSI, NEMA standards and related certification processes.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% and work onsite regularly.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development across hardware, embedded software, systems, and testing.
• Guide roadmaps with Product Management and align with manufacturing and standards bodies.
• Drive cost efficiency, manufacturability, and market position while ensuring compliance.
• Manage R&D resources, budgets, and staffing; maintain an engaged technical organization.
• Oversee Peachtree Corners electronics lab and coordinate with Tucker test facilities.
