Job summary

Michigan Instructional Leadership Association seeks an Executive Director (Chief Executive Officer) to articulate MILA's mission and lead its statewide work. The role is Part-time and reports to the Board president, coordinating with schools, districts, and partners.

Responsibilities include securing sponsorships, guiding professional learning across Michigan, managing operations and budgeting, and representing MILA with agencies and associations while advancing teaching and learning for

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of curriculum and instruction.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• Experience in school leadership and motivating others.
• Proven ability to manage and execute large and small projects.
• Experience coordinating professional learning in educational settings.
• Skill in working with adult learners.

Responsibilities

• Seek and secure organizational sponsorships.
• Coordinate statewide professional learning plans and projects.
• Build partnerships with MILA, MDE, MEMSPA, MAC, MACUL and others.
• Assist in MILA operations, staffing, and bylaws implementation.
• Prepare annual budget and fiscal oversight.
• Lead organizational communications and quarterly newsletter.
• Coordinate the MILA Whole Child Award program.
• Provide leadership for Curriculum Leaders Institute (CLI) program.
