Job summary

The Sharon Cooperative School is seeking an experienced executive director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for two campuses in Sharon, MA. The role requires collaboration with the Board, staff, families, and community partners to advance the school’s mission.

The ED will manage budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and lead enrollment initiatives while maintaining high standards of safety and quality in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree required; five years in childcare leadership and staff management.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred for higher responsibility.
• DEEC Director II certification required or eligible for certification.

Responsibilities

• Define strategic goals with the Board and manage budgets and finance.
• Provide operational leadership for two school sites and supervise staff.
• Oversee enrollment, admissions, and tuition processes.
• Ensure regulatory compliance (DEEC, NAEYC, MDAR, DPH, HHCC).
• Maintain safety standards and manage vendor relationships.
• Hire, train, and supervise educators and staff.
• Foster family engagement and community partnerships.
