Job summary

Delaware State University seeks the Executive Director of the Early Childhood Innovation Center (ECIC) to lead strategy, operations, and partnerships.

You will supervise a team of county coordinators and staff, manage multi-million dollar budgets, and engage with DSU leadership, legislators, school districts, and higher education partners to scale competency-based preparation for early childhood professionals.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in educational leadership or related field; doctoral degree preferred.
• Strong grant/proposal development and budgeting experience.
• Proven ability to lead diverse stakeholders and teams.
• Experience in advancing competency-based preparation and access to education.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for ECIC's mission and budget oversight.
• Lead county coordinators and operational staff and engage advisory committees.
• Collaborate with DSU, state agencies, and institutions to advance educator preparation.
• Advise on equity, inclusion, and community engagement in program delivery.
