EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR - USA
E3 Africa is a Catholic non-profit entity with a focus on educating, enriching, and empowering underprivileged children in Africa. We have already established an award-winning school in Moyo, Uganda where we have helped over 800 children who otherwise may have not received an education! To help us continue this mission, we need an effective and passionate Executive Director to lead us to success.

Responsibilities
- The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative officer of E3 Africa-USA and reports to the Board of Directors, through the Board Chair. The Executive Director is responsible for fundraising efforts and communicating with E3 stakeholders and donors. The Executive Director is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the organization and plays a key leadership role in developing and executing a long-term plan for success.
Duties
- Serves as primary fundraiser for the organization. Manages, coordinates, and supports Board fundraising activities
- Develops annual fundraising plan and aligns activities to ensure success
- Develops and implements a comprehensive communication plan to keep stakeholders and key donors advised and engaged
- Leads marketing and communication efforts, including website, newsletter, brochures, and speaking engagements, in order to create a stronger brand and presence in the community
- Oversees and manages the daily operations and administration of the organization
- Works closely with the Board Chair and Executive Committee to develop meeting schedules and agenda
- Assists the Board in developing policies, goals, and a strategic plan
- Implements approved policies of the Board
- Serves as an ex-officio member of each committee
- Actively promotes and represents E3 Africa in the community
- Establishes sound working relationships with community groups, non-profits, and other organizations to advance the goals of E3 Africa
- Makes public presentations and develops presentation materials
- Provides monthly written reports to the Board and status reports as needed
- Works closely with the Executive Director-Uganda and staff to coordinate services and programs
- Ensures that all financial reporting and audit requirements are met. Ensures accurate donor records, sponsorship records, EENU fund transfers and STACE project support
- Helps develop a strong Board of Directors by assisting with recruitment of new members. Initiates training, retreats, and other development activities for Board
- Works closely with sponsors. Encourages sponsor satisfaction and retention and provides the Board with metrics and reports related to same
- Is on-call during normal business hours and as needed to fulfill the organization’s mission
- Requires occasional attendance for events and meetings in person.
Qualifications
- Preference for BA in business related field
- Ability to work with QuickBooks, CRM systems, event software, Google, and Microsoft platforms.
- Successful Non-profit leadership and fundraising experience (5 years+)
- Successful completion of Criminal background clearance in line with Diocese of Phoenix compliance
- Willingness and ability to travel to Uganda
Base Salary: $70,000 per year DOE
