Job summary

Redlands Conservancy is seeking an experienced Executive Director to lead day-to-day operations, execute strategic plans, and maintain financial health. The ED will oversee staff, programs, volunteers, and relationships with community partners, agencies, and government entities.

Reporting to the Board, the ED and Development Director roles are complementary, with the ED focusing on internal operations and program delivery, while the Development Director leads fundraising and external

Qualifications

  • Minimum five (5) years of executive, operational, and/or nonprofit management experience.
  • Bachelor's degree (BA) in a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working knowledge of historic preservation, environmental conservation, project management, and volunteer management.
  • High familiarity with modern communication software, slide/presentation tools, website management, and social media platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Direct daily employee activities, set clear performance goals, and supervise all programs and projects related to historic preservation and land management.
  • Develop the annual budget in partnership with Volunteer Leads, the Development Director, and the Executive Committee.
  • Oversee donor contacts, the donor database, and donor acknowledgements.
  • Directly oversee operations and programs at multiple properties and trails.
  • Coordinate volunteer-led projects and partnerships with community and government entities.
