Job summary

CrossRoads Corporation in Charlotte, NC seeks an Executive Director to lead a respected, place-based nonprofit during a pivotal transition. The role combines fundraising leadership, strategic direction, and strong community engagement to advance mission and impact in Grier Heights.

The Executive Director reports to the Board, partners with staff and residents, and oversees programs, finances, and operations with a focus on sustainable growth and accountability.

Qualifications

• Progressive senior leadership experience in nonprofit or similarly complex mission-driven organizations.
• Demonstrated fundraising success across major donors, foundations, and public funding partners.
• Strong financial and operational management experience, including budgeting and internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic planning and translate it into measurable priorities, work plans, and accountability systems.
• Oversee fundraising, partnerships, and external relations with residents, donors, and public officials.
• Manage operations, staff development, and organizational culture with the Board and community.
