Job summary

Cornell Cooperative Extension (CCE) of Franklin County seeks an Executive Director to lead the Association, align programs with community needs, and partner with Cornell University and local stakeholders. You will oversee finances, personnel, and program delivery, ensuring strong community ties and compliance with regulations.

The role emphasizes strategic planning, fundraising, and organizational leadership in a county context, with a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree plus a minimum of six (6) years of related experience, including four (4) years in a leadership capacity.
• A PhD may substitute for 1 year of experience.
• Demonstrated engagement in association leadership and oversight.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Association with Board collaboration to guide the Plan of Work and strategic goals.
• Interpret program directions to assess, develop, plan and evaluate educational programs.
• Oversee 4-H Camp Overlook operations and collaboration with partner Association.
• Develop relationships with local and state government, Cornell University, and community leaders.
• Manage finances, human resources, technology, marketing, facilities, and risk management.
• Ensure compliance with policies, laws, and standards.
