Job summary

Cozad Community Health System is seeking a Director of Clinical Technology & Adoption to provide strategic leadership for clinical technology, informatics, analytics, and digital transformation across the health system. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in medical related field, or a related business field. Previous clinical experience required. Proficient in navigating and learning computers and EHR experience required.
• Licensure/Certification: Required to have or be able to obtain related certification. Examples: Certified Professional In Electronic Health Records (CPEHR) or Certified Associate in Healthcare Information & Management Systems (CAHIMS)
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification may be required.
• Valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership for clinical technology, digital transformation, and technology adoption initiatives across the organization, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, patient care priorities, and operational objectives.
• Directs the governance, optimization, implementation, and ongoing support of the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and other clinical technology systems, including prioritization of enhancements, upgrades, testing, and change management activities.
• Partners with clinical, operational, financial, and executive leaders to improve workflows, increase technology utilization, and drive measurable improvements in quality, efficiency, patient safety, and user satisfaction.
• Oversees the organization’s clinical technology project portfolio, ensuring projects are appropriately prioritized, managed, implemented, and evaluated for operational and financial impact.
• Serves as the primary liaison with technology vendors, consultants, and strategic partners, managing relationships, contracts, performance expectations, and technology planning.
• Collaborates with information technology and security partners to support cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, business continuity planning, and information governance activities.
• Develops and leads organizational training, education, superuser, and adoption programs to ensure staff and providers effectively utilize technology and achieve desired outcomes.
• Develops and maintains policies and procedures pertaining to use of health information systems.
• Follows all HIPAA guidelines and promotes and ensures patient safety.
• Fulfills mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive and professional environment.
• Special projects and other duties as assigned.
