Job summary

Bristol Myers Squibb seeks an Executive Director to lead the Clinical Design and Delivery Center (CDDC) and the Protocol Management Office (PMO). You will provide strategic leadership, oversee critical study documents, and ensure scientific rigor across the portfolio.

The role involves shaping capabilities, overseeing educational initiatives, and driving innovation and efficiency in clinical development while ensuring compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in clinical development and the design and execution of clinical studies
• Deep knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements, clinical operations, statistics, and epidemiology
• Experience with protocol development and review across multiple therapeutic areas and study phases

Responsibilities

• Lead a Protocol Management Office (PMO) overseeing review of protocols, SAPs, DMC charters, and other key documents across the portfolio
• Provide rigorous scientific review and revision to pivotal protocols and documents to ensure quality
• Oversee a team coordinating review activities across all therapeutic areas and ensure resource alignment
• Liaise with TA heads and senior stakeholders to ensure scientific quality and issue resolution
• Develop and refine processes for protocol submission, triage, and governance integration
• Create and maintain an integrated, compliant system for storing PRC materials and outputs
• Develop metrics to track protocol development outputs and identify continuous improvement opportunities
• Lead development and delivery of educational programs for clinical development capabilities
• Collaborate with learning teams to deliver training materials for clinical physicians and scientists
• Contribute to best-practices hub for clinical development innovation, execution, and delivery
• Foster a high-performance culture emphasizing collaboration, accountability, and results
