Job summary

The Clean Power Institute (CPI) is seeking an entrepreneurial and highly collaborative Executive Director to lead CPI’s day-to-day operations and growth, reporting to the ACP/ CPI leadership. The role focuses on expanding national workforce strategies and partnerships across education, philanthropy, and industry.

This hands-on leadership position requires 15+ years of senior leadership, strong fundraising, and the ability to translate strategy into actionable programs while advancing CPI’s

Qualifications

• 15+ years of leadership experience in nonprofit, philanthropy, or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
• Demonstrated fundraising and financial management experience; ability to build and nurture partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Lead CPI’s day-to-day operations and strategic priorities.
• Develop partnerships with ACP leadership and CPI board.
• Serve as CPI’s external ambassador and fundraiser and build national programs.
• Oversee program development, education-to-career initiatives, and workforce partnerships.
