Job summary

The Builders Movement in Texas is seeking an Executive Director to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight, scaling national and local programs that spread Builders values and empower citizens to demand accountability from their representatives. You will lead a remote team and guide fundraising and stakeholder engagement.

This role requires 10+ years leading initiatives, strong Texas knowledge, and proven fundraising ability.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years leading initiatives, coalitions, or programs in civic engagement or mission-driven work.
• Deep knowledge of Texas and national political, cultural and social landscapes.
• Strong written, verbal, and presentational communication skills.
• Experience building and scaling programs from the ground up.
• Proven ability to bring diverse groups together to achieve goals.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all civic programming and galvanize a movement of citizens who support Builders work.
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies to support Texas-focused programs.
• Lead a high-performing remote team of 12 and manage program budgets and resources.
• Partner with media, partners, and volunteers to advance Builders' mission and accountability.
• Build and manage a high‑performing remote team with clear OKRs and accountability.
