The Executive Director serves as the chief strategist and leader of the CEA, responsible for building and nurturing partnerships with churches, church planting networks, and other aligned organizations. This role integrates the efforts of CEA staff, partner churches, individuals, and vendors to advance the vision of a church planting movement in Kansas.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Partnership Development
    • Act as a catalyst for forming Church Planting Networks (CPNs) with churches and organizations committed to multiplying churches in Kansas.
      • Develop and execute a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including:
        • Contributions from newly planted churches.
        • Support from partner churches and individual donors.
        • Grants for key church planting projects.
        • Legacy gifts and estate planning initiatives.
      • Provide support and collaboration opportunities that help local Kansas churches grow in health, leadership, and community impact, ensuring they are empowered to reproduce and sustain new works.
  2. Operational Leadership
    • Oversee the management of CEA church planting projects, including convening and leading Management Teams until each church becomes self-governing, self-supporting, and actively engaged in planting new churches.
    • Travel as needed to support fundraising, project supervision, and strategic networking.
    • Collaborate with the Treasurer to manage CEA’s financial operations, ensuring responsible stewardship of all funds and resources.
  3. Communications
    • Lead the creation and distribution of constituent communications to maintain engagement and transparency:
      • Monthly email update
      • Monthly gift acknowledgment letters
      • Quarterly planting stories
      • Annual impact reports
      • Social media and website content
Relationships and Accountability
  • Reports directly to the Board of Directors and is accountable for advancing the mission, vision, and values of the CEA.
  • Authorized to deploy any methods, models, or strategies aligned with CEA’s Key Biblical Principles and not restricted by organizational policies.
  • Serves as the primary liaison to donors, supporting churches, and the broader constituency through personal outreach, digital and print communications, and live presentations at churches, conferences, and events.
  • Acts as the lead supervisor and support liaison for churches planted and supported by the CEA, primarily through the formation and oversight of Management Teams composed of local leaders and partner churches.

Preferred:
