Job summary

Fuel Talent is partnering with a major Alaska healthcare organization to recruit a Senior Director of Care Management in Anchorage. This role guides care management across multiple facilities, driving outcomes and aligning with executive leadership.

The ideal leader will leverage data to reduce costs, improve transitions, and standardize processes while collaborating with physicians, nursing leaders, and utilization management. A master’s degree and CCM/ACM are required or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing, Business Admin, or Healthcare Admin preferred.
• Active Alaska RN license upon hire and BLS certification.
• ACM or CCM certification required within one year of hire.
• Experience with care management, managed care, or utilization management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic and operational leadership for Care Management across multiple facilities.
• Lead Care Management managers and supervisors to meet clinical and operational goals.
• Improve length of stay, readmissions, care transitions, and cost of care.
• Standardize processes, policies, reporting, and best practices.
• Establish goals, action plans, and monitor outcomes for continuous improvement.
• Lead change management to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
• Partner with physicians, nursing executives, and other clinical leaders.
• Oversee audits and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Monitor, analyze, and report Care Management metrics and outcomes.
• Ensure coordination between inpatient, outpatient, and continuum-of-care settings.
• Collaborate with clinical education for policy and training development.
• Support optimization of technology (Epic) to improve workflows.
