Job summary

Mainspring Recovery in Lynchburg, VA seeks an experienced Executive Director to lead all facility operations, translating strategy into day-to-day execution across Clinical, Medical, Residential, and Support Services.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, financial performance, and high-quality client care while developing leaders, overseeing budget, census management, and partnerships with regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or higher.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership in behavioral healthcare.
• Minimum of 3 years in senior leadership with multi-department oversight.
• Experience with licensed treatment programs, regulatory/accreditation standards.
• Clinical licensure preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership across all facility operations.
• Oversee Directors and department leaders' performance and development.
• Monitor census, admissions, discharges, utilization, and service delivery metrics.
• Ensure compliance with federal/state regulations and licensing.
• Partner with Clinical and Medical leadership to deliver evidence-based care.
• Oversee budget performance and labor management.
• Lead crisis management and risk mitigation initiatives.
• Support recruitment, retention, and leadership development.
• Act as liaison with regulatory agencies, referral partners, and community.
