The Big Picture

Barnabas Factor (https://www.barnabasfactor.com) is searching for an Executive Director. Barnabas Factor is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to training international pastors in developing countries. To date, we have trained over 35,000 pastors across six African nations and India. We provide training through in-person seminars, frequent Zoom sessions (especially in India), and support 30 Bible Institutes with about a thousand students. We seek a qualified candidate to continue this vital work as Executive Director. Key skills include fundraising, vision-casting, and leadership of leaders and trainers. Our theological convictions are Conservative, Inclusive, and Continuant in nature.

Requirements

PRIMARY ROLES:

  1. FUNDRAISER
  2. The current budget is approximately $100,000, which may be adjusted if a salary is attached to the position. Most funding (~90%) comes from individuals, with the remainder from church mission budgets. The budget is allocated as follows: Bible Institutes (40%), Trips (20%), Salaries for Directors (15%), Pastor Emergency Fund and operating expenses (12%), Fundraising and office expenses (13%).
  3. VISIONARY
  4. The primary vision was given to Tom Salter; the new Executive Director would continue or adapt this vision, focusing on training undertrained international pastors, a need estimated at 95% of all such pastors.
  5. MANAGER (OVERSEER)
  6. Oversee African leadership (Dr. Twagirumugabe Dominique) and Indian leadership (Pastor Kempanna), with more oversight needed in India due to a weaker leadership base.
  7. PERSONAL TRAINER
  8. Train pastors via Zoom, especially in India, with the potential to transition leadership training to local African leaders as their capacity grows.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least an MA in Theology, Doctrine, or related field
  • Established spiritual maturity and good character (I Timothy 3:2)
  • Experience training pastors overseas
  • Calling or burden to train pastors internationally
  • Experience in fundraising
  • Age 67 or younger
