Job summary

The University of Chicago Booth School of Business seeks an Executive Director for the AI Center and AI Transformation to lead the Center for Applied AI and drive Booth's enterprise AI agenda in partnership with the CIO.

Reporting to the Dean's Office, you will shape AI strategy, coordinate with Booth IT and University ITS, mentor leadership, build literacy programs, and advance responsible AI across teaching, research, and administration.

Qualifications

• Progressive leadership experience in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
• Experience translating AI capabilities into practical programs for non-technical audiences.
• Executive-level relationship management and fundraising experience.

Responsibilities

• Guides the Center's mission and vision as AI needs evolve.
• Represents the Center in academic, industry, and policy contexts.
• Leads enterprise-wide AI transformation and adoption strategies.
• Designs AI literacy and enablement programs for faculty, students, and staff.
• Oversees coordination with Booth IT and University ITS on deployments.
• Manages center budget and resources; mentors leadership team.
