Job summary

Indiana Legal Services, Inc. seeks a visionary Chief Executive Officer to lead a statewide civil legal aid organization and advance access to justice across Indiana. The role oversees the Agricultural Worker Project, guides staff and volunteers, and drives strategic advocacy with community partners.

The CEO will manage complex litigation, administrative advocacy, and outreach while maintaining a caseload and building strong relationships with diverse communities and statewide coalitions.

Qualifications

• Commitment to the mission of Indiana Legal Services and access to justice.
• Juris Doctorate and Indiana license to practice law or able to be barred soon.
• Fluency in Spanish and English preferred.
• Management experience preferred.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to travel statewide.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and volunteers; oversee litigation and outreach.
• Manage grants, reports, and applications with Development.
• Ensure compliance with laws, grants, and ILS policies.
• Represent ILS at community meetings and coalitions.
• Expand outreach to ensure statewide project reach.
• Develop relationships with community organizations and provide education.
• Identify emerging issues and craft appropriate responses.
