Job summary

The Department of Ecology is inviting applications for an Administrative Services Director at EMS Band IV, a key member of the Executive Leadership Team in Lacey, WA. You will oversee facilities, real property, risk and emergency management, records governance, fleet, and security across Ecology.

You will translate vision into enterprise services, guide policy, and lead a diverse team to ensure compliant, mission-aligned operations statewide.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated professional level management experience in strategic planning and direction setting.
• Experience interpreting legislative processes and inter-governmental engagement.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, risk, records governance, and enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead statewide administrative services including facilities, real property, risk and emergency management.
• Develop long-range strategies and biennial facility plans with OFM and DES.
• Set policies and standards for administrative services and serve as signatory authority.
• Direct budgets, procurement, contracts, and personnel actions within the division.
