Job description

The Executive Director reports to the President and provides overall leadership for our client's permanent staff, management committee, and strategic priorities. This role is responsible for ensuring sound operational, financial, legal, and governance practices across our client and its affiliated bodies. The Executive Director leads, develops, motivates, and evaluates a team of six directors while fostering a collaborative, engaged, and high-performing workplace culture. They work closely with the President, board of directors, delegates, permanent staff, and affiliated associations to support effective decision-making and organizational alignment. The position also leads strategic planning and ensures the timely execution of key initiatives and priorities.

A central responsibility is coordinating the preparation and negotiation of a framework agreement with government representatives. The Executive Director serves as a senior representative with government stakeholders and key organizations within the health network, building productive relationships and advocating for our client's interests. They ensure consistent communication and consultation with staff and affiliated associations, while supporting the effective functioning of governance bodies. The role oversees relationships with our client's foundation and its executive leadership. Success in this position requires strong strategic judgment, political awareness, leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships.
