MHAW seeks an Executive Director in Ronkonkoma, NY with travel across Suffolk County. This exempt, full-time senior leadership role offers a salary range of $160,000 to $175,000 per year and a 37.5-hour workweek. Start date is immediate.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the program leadership team
  • Oversee program operations to ensure efficiency, compliance and service quality
  • Strengthen infrastructure, policies, and performance management practices
  • Establish and monitor organizational goals, quality measures, and outcomes
  • Support leadership development and workforce retention initiatives
  • Join in the development and implementation of the organization’s strategic direction with the executive team and Board of Directors
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships, funding and service expansion
  • Build a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Align mission, strategy, operations and financial performance
  • Promote a trauma-informed, recovery-oriented service delivery across the organization
  • Partner with CFO and Board to ensure financial stability and sustainability
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Ensure responsible stewardship of resources and regulatory compliance

Position:Executive Director

Compensation:$160,000 to $175,000 per year; Exempt position Location: Ronkonkoma, NY with travel throughout Suffolk County

Hours:37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities:

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the program leadership team
  • Oversee program operations to ensure efficiency, compliance and service quality
  • Strengthen infrastructure, policies, and performance management practices

Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nonprofit Leadership, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive executive leadership experience in nonprofit, healthcare, behavioral health, human services, or similarly complex organizations
  • Knowledge of nonprofit administration, behavioral health systems, healthcare environments, and/or human services strongly preferred
