Job summary

Oakmont Management Group seeks an Executive Director in Orange, CA to lead a premier senior living community. You will oversee hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management while driving occupancy and financial performance.

You will ensure regulatory compliance, community culture, and high-quality resident care, reporting to regional leadership. Candidates should have at least three years of elder care leadership experience, possess an RCFE/LNHA credential, and excel in team

Qualifications

• Two years of college and at least three years of residential elder care experience.
• California RCFE Certification or Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license required.
• Experience supervising employees preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and day‑to‑day management of the community (hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, performance management).
• Achieve occupancy and financial goals while maintaining budgetary discipline.
• Represent the community professionally to residents, families, and regulatory bodies, and foster a welcoming environment.

The Executive Director is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the community, ensuring operations align with company policies, standards, guidelines, and applicable regulations. This role oversees all aspects of team leadership, including hiring, training, evaluation, scheduling, and performance management. The Executive Director is accountable for achieving occupancy and financial goals, maintaining budgetary discipline, representing the community with professionalism, and fostering a welcoming and enriching environment for residents.

Qualifications:

• Completion of two (2) years of college and at least three (3) years of experience providing residential care to the elderly, or equivalent education and experience as approved by the Department of Social Services.
• A valid California Residential Care Facility for the Elderly Certification or Licensed Nursing Home Administrator
• Prefer five (5) years of experience supervising and managing employees
• Able to operate a personal computer and be proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn the theory and practice of assisted living and dementia care
• Able to work with seniors and patiently interact with cognitively impaired individuals
• Able to be flexible, adapt and respond to change, make decisions in stressful situations, and prioritize tasks and projects.
• Able to process information and apply common sense understanding to follow and carry out written or oral instructions.
• Able to analyze, solve and respond to problems or concerns.
• Able to count and perform moderately complex math problems, read and understand budgets and other financial reports/statements
• Able to explain ideas and communicate complex ideas to a wide audience (employees, residents, family members, governmental agencies, public, etc) both in writing and verbally
• Must pass a criminal background check and health screening tests, including physical and TB tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents, Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate, participate in daily screening, surveillance testing, and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 or other communicable diseases, per regulatory guidelines.
