Friends of Fountain of Hope (FOH) is a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization supporting Fountain of Hope Cambodia—an indigenously led NGO serving vulnerable communities through holistic care and the transformative power of the Gospel. Our mission is sustained by the generous support of individuals, churches, foundations, and corporations.
Position Summary
The Executive Director provides visionary leadership and strategic oversight for Friends of Fountain of Hope, with a strong focus on fundraising. This part-time role is ideal for a self-starter with proven experience in donor development and nonprofit leadership, particularly within faith-based contexts. The Executive Director will be the primary liaison to the Board and lead all U.S.-based fundraising, communication, and operational activities to support our partner organization in Cambodia. The Executive Director must have a thriving relationship with Jesus.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to grow revenue from churches, foundations, and individual donors.
Write and manage grant proposals and reports.
Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors.
Oversee donor communications, including thank-you notes, newsletters, prayer updates, and seasonal outreach.
Manage donor database (Bloomerang) and track fundraising performance.
Organizational Leadership
Collaborate with the Board on strategic planning, financial management, and organizational policy.
Prepare and present annual budgets and monthly financial reports.
Represent FOH publicly, maintaining partnerships and visibility across networks.
Oversee content for marketing, social media, and communication platforms.
Lead U.S.-based volunteers and any contracted staff.
Operations & Governance
Ensure compliance with nonprofit regulations and board policies.
Provide administrative oversight and support board engagement.
Lead preparation of the annual report and other key documents.
Meet regularly with the Board Chair and participate in quarterly performance reviews.
Qualifications
Required
3–5 years of nonprofit leadership or fundraising experience
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Demonstrated success in church and/or foundation fundraising
Experience with donor management systems (e.g., Bloomerang)
Understanding of the American church landscape
Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
Preferred
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
Experience with faith-based or international development organizations
Familiarity with grant writing best practices
Comfort with digital communication tools and social media
