Job summary

Trillium Community Land Trust in Columbia County, NY is hiring its first Executive Director to lead the organization into its next growth phase. You will provide strategic leadership for fundraising, community engagement, housing stewardship, and financial oversight, reporting to the Board of Directors and serving as the public face of Trillium.

Salary range: $105,000–$115,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Start date: September - October 2026.

Qualifications

• Experience in affordable housing development, nonprofit leadership, or grant administration.
• A track record of collaborating with Board leadership and leading volunteers as well as staff teams.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfort working independently in a start-up, entrepreneurial environment.
• Community land trust or shared-equity housing experience a plus.

Trillium Community Land Trust empowers community-based ownership of land for permanently affordable housing in Columbia County, NY. Founded in 2022 and now a 501(c)(3) with projects underway, Trillium is hiring its first Executive Director to lead the organization into its next phase of growth. The Executive Director will provide strategic leadership for fundraising, community engagement, housing stewardship, and financial oversight, while reporting to the Board of Directors and serving as the public face of Trillium.

What We’re Looking For
