Job summary

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County seeks an Executive Director to serve as the organization's chief executive, guiding strategy and ensuring financial sustainability while maximizing youth impact in Johnson County, IA. The successful candidate will lead fundraising, partnerships, and a high-performance team, reporting to the Board and representing the organization publicly.

This leadership role requires a proven nonprofit track record, strong communications, and a passion for mentoring

Qualifications

• Degree in business, public administration, nonprofit management, human services, or social work; master’s degree preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive executive or senior leadership experience.
• Demonstrated success in nonprofit management, fundraising, financial oversight, and strategic planning.
• Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills.
• A passion for mentoring, youth development, and community impact.
• Experience with Capital Campaigns.

Big Brothers Big Sisters of Johnson County (BBBSJC) is seeking an inspiring, strategic, and relationship-driven leader to serve as our next Executive Director.

The Executive Director serves as the organization’s chief executive officer, working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, volunteers, donors, and community partners to advance our mission while ensuring organizational excellence, financial sustainability, and measurable impact for local youth.

Salary

$75,000-$85,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

What You’ll Do
