Job summary

The Goddard School of Columbia, MD is seeking an Executive Director to oversee daily operations, support a team of directors and educators, and uphold brand and licensing standards. You will lead the front office, develop staff, implement Wonder of Learning curriculum, and build strong school-family-community relationships, while maintaining enrollment and a loving, high-quality learning environment.

This role demands a passionate, proactive leader committed to excellence in early childhood

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education is required.
• 10+ years of experience teaching in early childhood education and 5+ years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of child development and early learning best practices and team leadership.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass state background checks and meet state credential requirements.

Responsibilities

• Leadership and Administration: Lead daily operations while upholding brand, regulatory and policy standards
• Staff Management: Hire, train, supervise and support staff to build a positive, collaborative team
• Curriculum and Program Development: Deliver Wonder of Learning program, designed to spark curiosity, support individual growth and inspire lifelong learning
• Family and Community Engagement: Build strong relationships with families and promote the School in the community
• Financial Management: Manage the budget, enrollment and resources for operational success
• Health and Safety: Maintain a safe, clean and prepared environment for children, staff and visitors

We’re seeking a passionate and proactive leader to oversee daily operations, support a team of dedicated directors and educators and ensure a high-quality learning environment for children and families. As Executive Director, you’ll uphold brand and licensing standards, lead the front office team of directors, overseeing staff development, implementation our Wonder of Learning® proprietary curriculum, and build strong school-family-community relationships.
