Job summary

The Gardens at ViewPointe in Colorado Springs is seeking an Executive Director to oversee the daily operations of our faith-based, nonprofit assisted living and memory care community. You will lead a compassionate team and ensure high standards of care, safety, and resident satisfaction.

The role requires strong financial management, strategic planning, and effective communication with residents, families, staff, and regulators.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; two years in long-term care admin.
  • Must be a licensed Nursing Home or Assisted Living Administrator per state licensure.
  • Proven leadership with strong financial management, communication, and team-building skills.

The Executive Director is responsible for the professional and efficient operation of the assisted living and memory care community and all programs affecting the health and well-being of residents. In addition, this position is responsible for the budget, human resources, marketing, and public relations.Job qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent and a minimum of two years’ experience in a long-term care setting as an administrator. Licensure is required. The Executive Director directly supervises members of the management team and through them indirectly supervises line staff.Knowledge/Skills/AbilitiesPosition requires proven leadership and management skills in a healthcare environment including strong financial management, communication, marketing, interpersonal, and team building skills.Must have working knowledge of personal computers, scanners, digital copiers and printers.Must have experience in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, and ability to work with accounting and management softwareMust have excellent decision making abilities regarding financial and budget issues, marketing, and people development.Must be knowledgeable of the policies and procedures of MSDS sheets on hazardous materials and able to explain to staff.Ability to train staff and residents in fire safety and emergency preparedness.Demonstrates a SERVANT heart and attitude by following our Mission Statement.Education/Experience: Bachelor’s level college education or equivalent experience of a minimum of two years in a long-term care setting. Must be a licensed Nursing Home or Assisted Living Administrator as required by state licensure requirements.Working Environment/Physical Requirements:Normal office environment with building and groundsLight physical effort with occasional lifting of 10 – 20 pounds.Keyboarding and desk work.Communicating with staff of various backgrounds.Concentrating, thinking, readingMobility to physically assess the upkeep of the building and grounds.Overnight travel via automobile and/or airlines to other locations as requiredThis position requires being on call 24 hours a day and responding to emergencies in a timely manner.
