Job summary

Peregrine Senior Living is seeking an experienced Executive Director/Administrator in Syracuse, NY to lead operations, ensure high-quality care, and oversee staffing and budgeting. The role requires strong leadership, regulatory compliance, and a compassionate approach to senior care.

Qualified candidates will have a healthcare administration background, 4+ years of related experience, and the ability to obtain an Assisted Living Administrator license where required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• High school diploma plus at least four years of related experience.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Assisted Living Administrator license where required.
• Experience in senior care and memory care/dementia preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents and families receive high-quality, compassionate service.
• Develop and maintain relationships with staff at all levels.
• Ensure appropriate staffing levels to meet needs and comply with regulations.
• Demonstrate strong performance management and clear communication.

Salary: $88,000–$100,000 per year, based on experience

We are currently seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Executive Director/Administrator with strong leadership experience to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure residents and their families receive the highest quality of service in a caring and compassionate environment that recognizes each individual's needs and rights.

• Develop and maintain positive relationships with staff at all levels throughout the community.

• Ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to meet the needs of the community and comply with state regulations.

• Demonstrate strong performance management skills, including the ability to clearly communicate performance expectations.

• Oversee and assist in the preparation of the community's annual budget, collaborating with the management team to ensure all departments consistently meet monthly budget goals.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Services, or a related field preferred.

• High school diploma or equivalent required, along with at least four (4) years of related experience.

• Ability to obtain and maintain an Assisted Living Administrator license, where required, within the prescribed time frame.

• Experience working in senior care and memory care/dementia preferred.

• A genuine compassion for and desire to work with older adults is required.
